Safari Pastel Party Decor and Styling (Part 2)

In the last post, we revealed Mika's first birthday dessert table. Now it's time to reveal the party decor and styling.

We filled the room with pastel colour helium balloons. The colours of these balloons in the ceiling of were really pretty; as if we were covered in pastel clouds. The long strings hanging from the balloons create this light whimsy and airy atmosphere. We also hang colourful patterned buntings along the side and fronts windows.

We hang colourful party streamers along the edges of ceiling panels and balloons bunches were attached to the  seat panels. We print and cut out the animal themes and stick them on to the windows between the seat panels. At the end of the seat we have our custom guest book where the guest can attached their polaroid pictures from the photo booth and write their birthday wishes to the birthday girl.

We installed a super cute photo background for this party. The centre of the polka dot vinyl backdrop were a custom design birthday poster with pink ribbon ruffles frame. We have  theme animals cut out and colourful flower planters for the decor. We source party accessories like funny goggles, party hats/wigs and put them into a basket next to the photo background so the guest can have fun with their pictures.

To the left of the photo booth was our amazing dessert table and to the right was appetizer table filled with yummy savouries and snacks. Long cylinder vases with bunches of parrot tulips and hydrangeas were the centre pieces of the table. A cute rubber ducky was floated on a special vase filled with single stem of arum lily added a whimsy touch.

Last we have table filled with thank you gift for the special little guests of baby Mikayla. A custom designed backpacks were wrapped in plastic cello and sealed with pretty ribbon and custom gift tag. A special "take me home" signage was place at the display racks along with few decorative items and theme animal cut outs.

Overall it was a one truly special birthday party. Decygn had a great time creating every part of it; from the sweet dessert table to fantastic party styling. I'm sure Mikaela and her parents along with their guests had a wonderful party. See you in the next party!

Prince Reagan One Month Hamper

This post is for a project we did last March for one of my friends from university Laura. She gave birth to her second son “Reagan Christopher Djuana” and in accordance with Chinese tradition we celebrate the baby first month with what we called “Man Yue”. One part of those traditions is for parents to gift food to family and friends. The tradition called for red-dyed egg and ang-kueh (red tortoise cake), but nowadays parents give away all kind of food and goodies.

Laura ordered custom picture frames adorned with precious moments figurine and she tasked Decygn with making custom bags to house the frame. We handpicked a soft blue Japanese cotton fabric with polka motif and fashioned a bag lined with fiber to make it sturdy.

Inside the bag we add cookies, sour candy, schumpies, and the traditional red-dyed eggs all wrapped in tulle and custom tags.

Reagan means royal, thus befitting a gorgeous little prince our printable was simple, elegant and royally approved.

Congratulations to Stephen & Laura, the proud parents.

Vintage Luggage Party Invitation

Come and fly with Allexzo Airlines!

On his fourth birthday celebration, Allexzo pilot an airplane! How cool was that? Well.. it's actually through a flight simulator. Allexzo's mom made a reservation at Flight Experience Melbourne where Allexzo and his friends each became a pilot and learned about airplane and the surrounding.

Decygn were contacted to create airplane theme stationery for Allexzo Birthday. We were excited to hear about the flight experience party. After gathering mood boards, we decided the theme to be Vintage Airplane. The colour scheme was cream, brown, light blue and a hint of orange.

What do we prepare before our flight? Luggage? Boarding Pass? Map?

And we thought “Hey, why don’t we have all of them in Allexzo Invitation?”

Luggage shape invitation is specially hand crafted. Printed cardstock is glued on front-back to the luggage shape cardboard. For the design, we opted for vintage airplane icons and world map stickers. Brown luggage tag with a blue cloud design is attached on luggage’s handle. The luggage tag is personalised with the guest name.

On the back side, there are boarding pass with party details and also map to make it easier for guest to find the venue.

Overall, we were really happy at how the invitation turned out and we got a lot of good feedback for them. Happy days! We will post more on Allexzo's Vintage Airplane Birthday Party soon. Stay tune!

Pretty-Pastel Animal Safari Dessert Table

This is a long overdue post from our past event for baby Mikayla. She's the cutest and adorable little baby girl; full of smile and laughter. Ooops.. she's was not a baby any more.. she turned one year old!! We were so eager to celebrate the first year of her sweet life with lots of colour and fun.

The theme chosen was pretty-pastel animal safari. We designed the cutest hippo, giraffe, lion and elephant characters. We created a fun and pretty scene with pretty pastel colours of pink, yellow, green and orange.

We surely had a lot of great time designing and creating Mikayla's dessert table. So many delicious, sweet and tempting little treats to offer.  We filled up colourful balloons with helium and used them as background for the table.

In the centre was the cutest birthday cake according to the theme. Two tiered chocolate cake was covered with pastel colour fondant. The top tier fondant was embossed with swirl design and the girl name was stamped on to a fondant plaque. On the top of the cake was Mr. Giraffe and Mrs. Elephant. Little Miss Hippo sat on top of the second tier cake which was decorated with fondant ribbons and embellished with hearts and bow-tie fondants. Cute mini fondant buttons was scattered around the bottom of the cake together with Mr. Lion which is holding a pink heart.

Then there were lots of yummy little treats. Assorted mini macaroons, fairy cookies, colour block crispy wafer, vanilla cream puff, cake pops, chocolate kisses were some of goodies.

Mini cupcakes with custom cupcake toppers were a big hit. So was also the tree colour jelly in cups and the so-mouth-watering chocolate brownies. And for those who was after a cold and sugary drink, chilled strawberry soda cream  dripping from the mason jar dispenser would surely satisfy the thirst.

All the menu cards and cupcake toppers were designed according to the theme. A "sweet table" banner were hang at front of the table and finally, a bunch of tulips and calla lilies added a sweet touch to the centre of the table.

Happy first birthday Mikayla! We were grateful and so blessed to be part of your birthday celebration. Wishing you much joy and happiness on the coming years.

Stay tuned for the next post as we reveal more from Mikayla's birthday party. If you would like us to design and create dessert table for your event, drop us an email and we'll be in touch.

The Story of Rafa and Pooh and Friends

"Chapter Two".

Winnie the Pooh and Friends are one of kids’ favourite Disney characters.  The kids love and adore their stories and books, more over the soft toys and figures. A very special boy, Rafa, also loves Winnie the Pooh and Friends. Last month, he began to write a new chapter in his life as he turned 2. We celebrated his birthday with a  “Winnie the Pooh and Friends” party.

We designed a simple desert table with a touch of wood and yellow as a main colour. The bright yellow colour suits Rafa’s character; a cheerful, active and happy boy. While the woods create natural look and atmosphere, it seems as if Pooh and friend are in a jungle.

For the sweet, we made pancakes with variety of toppings- jam, honey and peanut butter. Kids love it as they can choose and mix the topping by themselves. Cupcakes with Pooh cupcake topper, strawberry chocolate, flavour jelly, yogurt and puddings are also kids favourites  Parents enjoy the special home-made brownies while they were watching their kids play.

The birthday cake was a giant “honey” cupcake which was placed at the centre of the dessert table. It was made with great details and perfectly suited as a centre piece.

In the end of the party, Rafa and Pooh gave little gifts for their friends.  The brown paper bag is filled with snacks, juice and lunch box. We personalised the gifts using custom labels for the snacks and juice bottle. And finally, we sealed the bag with a thank you note and Pooh sticker tag.

It was truly a great beginning of "Chapter Two" in Rafa's book of life. We look forward to write more chapters in Rafa's book and share it all with you.

Re-post: Valentine "hearts"

This is a re-post from our Facebook page for Valentine edition. To help our dear friends celebrate Valentine, we were giving hearts printable which can be made into anything.  Here's what we did to our "hearts".

We use them as a candy wrapper; simply cut the front and back sides of the designs, glue the edges, and inserts your candy before you completely enclose the two sides.

If you have got presents for your loved one, why not add this cute gift tag? Cut the hearts  and glue around the edges; leaving a small opening. Write your message onto a paper and fold them small. Insert your message through the opening and seal completely.

Make a statement with this giant cupcake topper. Cut the hearts and write your message at the back of the heart. Then sandwich a skewer in between the two hearts. Add pretty ribbon or decorate.

Lastly, have you been thinking of “popping the question”? Well, use these hearts to surprise her! Get a nice flower bouquet. Cut the hearts  and glue around the edges; leaving a small opening. Write your message into small piece of paper and enclosed it inside the hearts; together with the ring. Then give it to her and wait her to say “YES!”.

If you miss this Valentine printable, stay tuned and like our Facebook page. We are creating many more printable and surely you wont miss them.
