Love Birds Civil Ceremony

"Friends are the best person whom you can share your moments, thoughts, feelings, your joy, secrets, and most of all laughters.."

Andy and Novi are our dear sweet friends, so imagine how delighted we are when they request Decygn to be a part of their special day.

Novi was the kind of client every designer love, she was clear on what details she wants to incorporate but at the same time trusting us to work creatively and freely do what we do best.

Our bride wants a simple celebration with fresh flower and apple green as the main colour, we then add on yellow for contrast and lively effect with white as a background.

Online invitation with little bird couple as requested by the bride
For the guest book we created a custom design pages where you can stick photo and write messages, the cover was stitch and hand made using a green fabric.

Various flask was use as a hanging pot along the wall.

We put vases filled with apples along the aisle, later these apples will transform into favours. As you might guess, these pretty little favours are our multitasker apples, wrap in paper lunch brown bag and clipped with custom thank you notes
The altar was one of my favourite part, the flower arrangement really brighten the place up.

This one was our "surprise gift" for the couple, we create a display of their pre-wedding photo, and many guest end up using it as a photo background.

This couple is so near to my heart and seeing their big smile is just an icing on the cake. Congrats to the lovely Andy & Novi for the start of an amazing journey together.

Testimonial from the bride and groom:

Rustic Wedding : All in the details

If you miss our last two posts on these rustic themed wedding, you can read more about it here. Now we are going to share the details of the wedding.

We styled the guest reception table with fresh flowers, birdcages, rustic tray and we use burlap as the table runner. The guest book was specially designed using sheets of laser engraved plywood. The tree and heart design was taken from the wedding invitation.

The bride and groom want life plants as their gift favor so we suggested mini mixed herbs in pots. A custom made bags from cotton fabric stamped with the heart design is very stylish and charming. We simply present thems in plant racks and let the guest pick their own choice of herbs: coriander, basil, thyme, rosemary and chives.

Following the ceremony, the guest were served luncheon and we designed a totally YUM dessert table. We use tree stumps and wooden tray lined with napkins for the mini-treats.  We use rice to hold the macaroons in the tray so it can be easily picked by guests.  The cake pops were presented on a moss-covered wooden tray. Spoons for the fruit punch were placed in glass pots and tied on to the tree stumps. The background of the dessert table was white garden lattice decorated with garland and glass vase filled with flowers.

For buffet table sign, we use gigantic wooden scrabble pieces spelled V-E-G-I-E and B-B-Q. Plant labels were used as buffet menu and were stick unto the herb gift favour.

We create rustic flower arrangements on long table which cover the soundsystem to the church. Mixed bottle of various shapes and sizes were used as vases. Branches and fresh flowers were used. We add tea lights and the couple engagements photos to the display.

Overall, it was truly an amazing moments for us to be able to design for our dear friends. There were some long sleepless nights, panda-eyes and sore-backs during the production to finish the project, but we count them as blessings. We wish the very wonderful journey ahead for E&R.

Rustic & Charmed Garden Wedding Décor

We posted this rustic wedding invitation not long ago, and now is time to reveal our styling décor for the wedding ceremony. The wedding took place in a church in East Caulfield. It was the perfect weather to held this joyous occasion.

For the guest entrance, we used a pergola and decorated it with twig, branches and few flower blooms to create a rustic feel. The guest book was specially designed using sheets of laser engraved plywood and the herbs in the pots were given as a gifts to the guest in a custom made bags to mimic the wedding invitation envelope.

The bride and groom walk down the aisle on a white flower carpet with red rose petals scatter around.  Along the aisle were cyclamen within wooden rustic pots. The white stools for the bride and groom were decorated with white geranium bushes.

Panels of white garden trellis climber decorated with ivy and flowers transformed the church stage to a rustic secret garden. Planter boxes filled with flowers and sleek white altar table add the charm to the stage.

Red roses were the heroes in this wedding and it has a special meaning for the couple. The groom gave 365 stems of long deep-rich red roses on their first anniversary during their courtship. He put them inside her bedroom to surprise her and the whole room filled (PACKED) with the beauty until no more rooms to put.

The windows on the side walls were dress up with custom made window screen. Tulle curtains soften the natural light that brightens the rooms. Planter box filled with flowers add sweet touch.  Wood panels between the windows were part of the church and were highlighted with simple hanging flower baskets and spotlight.

One that truly transformed the church hall was the additional of floating garland lattice decorated with flowers and fairy lights. That was the most consuming time to install but the final result worth every minutes of it.

That was the big pictures of the rustic wedding décor. We had so many positive feedbacks from the guests and it was truly an honour for us to designing for the couple.  Cheers, and wait tomorrow as we post more on the details.

Rustic and Natural Wedding Invitation

DECYGN had been busy the last few months, and we couldn't wait to share all the wonderful moments that we had. Since the beginning of the year 2012, DECYGN had the privilege to work with two of our best friends for their wedding; together we build a styling décor concept and unique wedding stationery. The couple wanted a rustic theme for their wedding and we came up with the idea of using plywood for their wedding invitation.

The plywood was laser engraved on both sides. Front page was engraved with the tree specially designed for the couple and the unique bible verse was the couple’s own pick. Tree has a special meaning for them; they officially started their courtship under the canopy of a big tree near the botanical garden. Back page contained the wedding invitation detail.
The burn mark from the laser engraved around the edges and on the pages created rustic feel. The visible plywood grains add charm to the invitation.

To keep with the rustic and natural theme, we created custom fabric envelope made from natural cotton. The fabric was cut to size and sew with red thread to create a nice contrast and finished with a red button. A custom stamped was used to create the heart design with the couple’s initials. This heart and the initials was a replica of the groom’s hand-carving on the tree where they started their courtship.

We use shipping tag from brown craft paper as an address tag. This shipping tag was tied on to the button using natural jute twine.

Overall, we have created a rustic wedding invitation. It really has a special charmed to it and would be a delight to those who receive it. Contact us at info@decygn.com.au for your own custom made wedding invitation.

Vintage inspired Champagne and Pink Wedding Stationary

It was a while ago that Dun Mo and Bei Li got married.. We already shared their story to you.. as promised, now we are going to share the lovely stationary that we created for them..

We followed their wedding theme which was vintage and shabby... their choice of colour was champagne and pink.. We created wedding invitation, ceremony program, buffet card, and the bonbonniere. Everything look cohesive and ties to the theme..

For the invitation, we used cream card stock and champagne flocked paper. The invitation were printed on transparent paper which looks luxurious. We punched lace border along the flocked paper for top and bottom of the card stock. White satin ribbon and square pearl buckles add sweet touch. Cream metallic envelope matches the card stock and we added pink lining to tie with the theme.

For their ceremony program, we used the same cream cardstock and we print the program on transparent paper with champagne colour pattern. Pink lace border were added to each corner and matching pink bow add lovely touch.

After the ceremony, the couple served buffet of finger foods. We created a buffee card using cream cardstock and champagne patterned transparent paper. Pink lace borders add elegance.

As for the bonbonniere, we filled acrylic tube with cream and pink sugar coated almonds. We wrapped tissue paper bothe ends and cream ribbon to sweeten the look. We shaped the tissue paper like candy with pink ties.

That complete the post for Dun Mo and Bei Li wedding.. Next will be a full coverage of E wedding..
