Prince Reagan One Month Hamper

This post is for a project we did last March for one of my friends from university Laura. She gave birth to her second son “Reagan Christopher Djuana” and in accordance with Chinese tradition we celebrate the baby first month with what we called “Man Yue”. One part of those traditions is for parents to gift food to family and friends. The tradition called for red-dyed egg and ang-kueh (red tortoise cake), but nowadays parents give away all kind of food and goodies.

Laura ordered custom picture frames adorned with precious moments figurine and she tasked Decygn with making custom bags to house the frame. We handpicked a soft blue Japanese cotton fabric with polka motif and fashioned a bag lined with fiber to make it sturdy.

Inside the bag we add cookies, sour candy, schumpies, and the traditional red-dyed eggs all wrapped in tulle and custom tags.

Reagan means royal, thus befitting a gorgeous little prince our printable was simple, elegant and royally approved.

Congratulations to Stephen & Laura, the proud parents.

The Story of Rafa and Pooh and Friends

"Chapter Two".

Winnie the Pooh and Friends are one of kids’ favourite Disney characters.  The kids love and adore their stories and books, more over the soft toys and figures. A very special boy, Rafa, also loves Winnie the Pooh and Friends. Last month, he began to write a new chapter in his life as he turned 2. We celebrated his birthday with a  “Winnie the Pooh and Friends” party.

We designed a simple desert table with a touch of wood and yellow as a main colour. The bright yellow colour suits Rafa’s character; a cheerful, active and happy boy. While the woods create natural look and atmosphere, it seems as if Pooh and friend are in a jungle.

For the sweet, we made pancakes with variety of toppings- jam, honey and peanut butter. Kids love it as they can choose and mix the topping by themselves. Cupcakes with Pooh cupcake topper, strawberry chocolate, flavour jelly, yogurt and puddings are also kids favourites  Parents enjoy the special home-made brownies while they were watching their kids play.

The birthday cake was a giant “honey” cupcake which was placed at the centre of the dessert table. It was made with great details and perfectly suited as a centre piece.

In the end of the party, Rafa and Pooh gave little gifts for their friends.  The brown paper bag is filled with snacks, juice and lunch box. We personalised the gifts using custom labels for the snacks and juice bottle. And finally, we sealed the bag with a thank you note and Pooh sticker tag.

It was truly a great beginning of "Chapter Two" in Rafa's book of life. We look forward to write more chapters in Rafa's book and share it all with you.

New Home Gift Hamper

Having a new house is one of the most exciting moment. As a matter of fact, my husband and I just move into our new house! I'm so excited as I can experience new ambiance, new look, new environment, new furniture and new home wears.

Here, Decygn team also got a chance to celebrate this moment together with you who is going to settle into your dream house.

As requested by our clients, we create two sets of hampers which includes tea pot sets, kitchen appliances, dining set, plate mat, apron,  jam, chocolate and a bottle of wine. The natural Rotan basket can also be re-use as a decoration for your new home or as a storage basket.

So, Congratulations on your new home and enjoy your new place with a cup of tea or a glass of wine...

Christmas Hamper - Joy of Giving

December is a busy and joyful month for Decygn. We get so busy with Christmas hamper orders, dinner invitation and festivity decors. With Christmas carol in the background and a sense of joy and peace in the air; we keep our spirit high in the mist of our works. Christmas brings out the joy of giving in many people. We get a lot of corporate Christmas hampers order as well as personal order.

For the first hamper, we get a mini Christmas tree. The base is wrapped with burlap cloth and tied with velvet red ribbon. Instead of baubles and tinsel, we use colourful chocolate balls and liquor filled chocolate to decorate the tree. Red ribbons and mini bells ornaments finish the tree décor. We filled the wooden box with jam, tea, tin of biscuit, cashews, and bottle of wine. Cello wrap, red ribbon, and custom designed gift tag complete the hamper.

For another hamper, we get a bright red ceramic dish as a hamper tray. The same chocolate decorated mini tree is also included in this hamper. We couldn’t resist when we passed through a set of red silicone muffin tray with brush, whisk and spatula- such a nice Christmas gift. Two glass cups were filled with candy cane and embellished with red ribbons. Chocolate, cashews, nut-mix and chocolate stick wafer packed the ceramic dish; which then wrapped with cello.

Red is always the colour of Christmas. For the next hamper, we let a simple red ribbon be the star. The red ribbon contrasts nicely with the white crisp box filled pretzel and chocolate mix. Then we attached custom-designed gift tag to the lid. A cute red (again) bow finish the gift.

We’re sure everyone receiving the hampers will be joyous and happy!!! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year..

Happy Chinese New Year Part 2

Hi there,

As promised before (previous post here), today I will show you our Chinese new year hamper that was ordered by our clients for their business partner. We have lots of fun deciding what we can put in the hamper within the budget.. =)

The basket itself is a bamboo steamer that you can find in most Chinese groceries. You definitely can use it for cooking after you unwrap the hamper..

Colour that we choose are bright red (happiness) and gold/orange (wealth). Let's unwrap our hamper and find out what's inside:
- Chinese tea in gorgeous tin and two pretty tea cups that we also filled with candies; on one we have 8 lucky candies (8 is significant in Chinese culture as it represent prosperity) and ferrero rocher that looks like golden nuggets.
- Cookies, their sweetness symbolizes a rich, sweet life.
- And of course oranges, oranges are normally passed out freely during the Chinese new year as the word orange sound like wealth in Chinese language.

We also decorate it with string of traditional Chinese gold money. You can't have too much gold right =P

Last but not least for each hamper we attached a Hong Bao filled with good luck wishes.

Again, happy Chinese new year everyone, may this year bring prosperous and fortune for you all.

Pink Baby Girl Hamper in a Basket

"A baby is a blessing from God. We are sure your little one will be blessed by great parents"

Welcome to the world baby K..

This hamper was made especially made for mommy to be and of-course for baby K as baby shower gifts... then good news came.. Baby K was born couple of weeks ago... Congratulation to Mr & Mrs. AH..

Pink is identical with baby girl.. To be honest, I have a feeling that this baby is gonna be a girl.. and it turns out to be true... ^_^ A set of baby clothes, jump suit for winter and little pink dress are all in pink shades wrapped nicely inside the basket.. Light yellow and silver as complementary colour only make this hamper looks even cuter...

Card with the same theme colour are especially handcrafted to go with this hamper.. For the envelope I choose pink colour and for a cute bow at the back think a touch of silver would go really well.. I use silver as the card with a pink lining on the inside..

I decided to make pop up Baby Pram card for Baby K.. I added small pink flowers on the pram..

As you can see, I made dummy Ipad on the card.. Made from Polaroid photos of my friends and I.. During her pregnancy, Mrs AH kept mentioning that she really want to have an Ipad.. With few creativity and a bit of imagination, I try to make her dream comes true... ^_^

Once again.. Congratulation!!!!

I covered each tier with pretty scrapbook paper.. on top of the middle tier, I slipped a bib with a cute baby bear picture and read "mummy's princess".. for cake topper, I used baby-booties.. then for decoration, I add rolled and tied baby body suit... pink pompom add finishing touches..
I created a matching card for her using the left over paper... For the envelope, I used sewing machine to stitch stipes of paper to the cardstock... then a cute stamp at the card finished the whole card..
