Happy Chinese New Year Part 2

Hi there,

As promised before (previous post here), today I will show you our Chinese new year hamper that was ordered by our clients for their business partner. We have lots of fun deciding what we can put in the hamper within the budget.. =)

The basket itself is a bamboo steamer that you can find in most Chinese groceries. You definitely can use it for cooking after you unwrap the hamper..

Colour that we choose are bright red (happiness) and gold/orange (wealth). Let's unwrap our hamper and find out what's inside:
- Chinese tea in gorgeous tin and two pretty tea cups that we also filled with candies; on one we have 8 lucky candies (8 is significant in Chinese culture as it represent prosperity) and ferrero rocher that looks like golden nuggets.
- Cookies, their sweetness symbolizes a rich, sweet life.
- And of course oranges, oranges are normally passed out freely during the Chinese new year as the word orange sound like wealth in Chinese language.

We also decorate it with string of traditional Chinese gold money. You can't have too much gold right =P

Last but not least for each hamper we attached a Hong Bao filled with good luck wishes.

Again, happy Chinese new year everyone, may this year bring prosperous and fortune for you all.

Vintage inspired Champagne and Pink Wedding Stationary

It was a while ago that Dun Mo and Bei Li got married.. We already shared their story to you.. as promised, now we are going to share the lovely stationary that we created for them..

We followed their wedding theme which was vintage and shabby... their choice of colour was champagne and pink.. We created wedding invitation, ceremony program, buffet card, and the bonbonniere. Everything look cohesive and ties to the theme..

For the invitation, we used cream card stock and champagne flocked paper. The invitation were printed on transparent paper which looks luxurious. We punched lace border along the flocked paper for top and bottom of the card stock. White satin ribbon and square pearl buckles add sweet touch. Cream metallic envelope matches the card stock and we added pink lining to tie with the theme.

For their ceremony program, we used the same cream cardstock and we print the program on transparent paper with champagne colour pattern. Pink lace border were added to each corner and matching pink bow add lovely touch.

After the ceremony, the couple served buffet of finger foods. We created a buffee card using cream cardstock and champagne patterned transparent paper. Pink lace borders add elegance.

As for the bonbonniere, we filled acrylic tube with cream and pink sugar coated almonds. We wrapped tissue paper bothe ends and cream ribbon to sweeten the look. We shaped the tissue paper like candy with pink ties.

That complete the post for Dun Mo and Bei Li wedding.. Next will be a full coverage of E wedding..

Pink Baby Girl Hamper in a Basket

"A baby is a blessing from God. We are sure your little one will be blessed by great parents"

Welcome to the world baby K..

This hamper was made especially made for mommy to be and of-course for baby K as baby shower gifts... then good news came.. Baby K was born couple of weeks ago... Congratulation to Mr & Mrs. AH..

Pink is identical with baby girl.. To be honest, I have a feeling that this baby is gonna be a girl.. and it turns out to be true... ^_^ A set of baby clothes, jump suit for winter and little pink dress are all in pink shades wrapped nicely inside the basket.. Light yellow and silver as complementary colour only make this hamper looks even cuter...

Card with the same theme colour are especially handcrafted to go with this hamper.. For the envelope I choose pink colour and for a cute bow at the back think a touch of silver would go really well.. I use silver as the card with a pink lining on the inside..

I decided to make pop up Baby Pram card for Baby K.. I added small pink flowers on the pram..

As you can see, I made dummy Ipad on the card.. Made from Polaroid photos of my friends and I.. During her pregnancy, Mrs AH kept mentioning that she really want to have an Ipad.. With few creativity and a bit of imagination, I try to make her dream comes true... ^_^

Once again.. Congratulation!!!!

Baby girl nappy-cake hamper..

Our dear friend just got a baby girl recently... I decided to create a nappy-cake for her..

The theme is pink and light green... the newborn nappy that I had is already light green in colour.. I ensembled three tiers cake.. I covered each tier with pretty scrapbook paper.. on top of the middle tier, I slipped a bib with a cute baby bear picture and read "mummy's princess".. for cake topper, I used baby-booties.. then for decoration, I add rolled and tied baby body suit... pink pompom add finishing touches..
I created a matching card for her using the left over paper... For the envelope, I used sewing machine to stitch stipes of paper to the cardstock... then a cute stamp at the card finished the whole card..

Congratulation to Mr & Mrs. HC.. baby S is super adorable... and she will finished the nappy in no time at all... lol..

Coffee lovers birthday card..

In addition to decor that we had for our pastor during his birhday (link here), I created a birthday card.. it looked masculine and vintage at the same time.. it had the same theme to the decor that we had..

Caffe and Books..

When our beloved pastor had his birthday not long ago, we decided to throw-up a surprise for him.. His favourite things are books and coffee latte.. then why not combine the two together?? We created a cafe and library display at our church.. and it turned out fabulous...

We covered a wooden panel with a damask-pattern gift wrapper.. then we attached shelves to it.. Then we dress up the shelves and the tables with books, cakes display, cookie jar and flowers..
We used the cookie jar as a stylish and yummy book stand.. and the cake display looked like the one they have in real cafe.. coffee candy in oversized wine glass with "tips" signage looks soo cute..
One of our talented mum at church made a cafe latte shaped cake.. complete with sugar bowl and spoon to stir... it even has "steam" coming up from the cup... well.. its more like cappucino cup than latte cup.. but I think its super cute anyway..

Overall we had great time decorating.. and more importantly, our beloved pastor really enjoy his birthday.. can't wait to the next birthday surprise..

Summer Fun Baby Boy Hamper

A baby is sunshine and moonbeams and more brightening your world as never before.

The joy when a baby is born is imaginable... Family and friends are as excited as the parent.. When you have a special one that just been born, a special gift that comes from the heart is a must to remember the occasion..

This is a one of a kind baby boy hamper.. The theme is Summer Fun.. It's filled with huge boat, sand-play buckets, rake and shovel.. Rubber duckies to play with.. It has super cute sailor romper, and what would be summer without thongs, sunnies and hat? The pirate bibs sure will make lunch time more exciting...

I think any baby (and the parent!!) would be happuy to receive this hamper... Congratulation!!

Happy Chinese New Year

Gong Xi Fat Coi!! May you have a prosperous year... be filled with health and success.. Chinese New Year is always a fun time.. It's part of our heritage.. and we celebrate it with our family and friends...

My favourite part during Chinese new year is "angpau".. or the red pocket filled with money from our parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles... we have to greet them or we call it "pai-pai" and they give the red pocket in return..

Now that I'm married, I won't be getting any more angpau.. =( saddd... and now is our turn to give angpau to younger brother, sister, niece and nephew... since this is my first year to give angpau, i want to make it more special.. so I decided to make my own red pockets rather that buy one from the shop.. It was to fun to make...

In the next posting, I will describe Chinese New Year hamper that we created for our clients.. Got to go now.. dinner banquet is callingg.... yum yum yum...

A very long break..

Sorry that we haven't update our blog... we had a very looonnnggg break... there were too many things going on... and we didn't have enough time and resources to write.. so apology for this absence.. And we have good news and bad news...

Good news is... one of our girl was married while we were away!!!! Congratulation to E.. She made a beautiful and gorgeous bride... her party was fabulous... we'll write more about her wedding in upcoming postings...

Bad news is.. one of our girl has left the country to work and stay overseas... All the best to C.. We will miss you dear... I'm sure though, that its a farewell, not a good bye...
